Navigating life with a disability can be challenging, especially when it comes to finding the right tools that fit our needs. I recently discovered some amazing adaptive kitchen utensils that have made meal prep so much easier for me. I’d love to hear what tools you all have found helpful in your daily routines.
I’ve found that using spring-loaded scissors makes cutting things way easier, almost like having a little robot on your kitchen counter! @jamesh suggested a similar tool before, and it really does take the strain off your hands. What other kinds of adaptations have you tried?
I totally get the struggle… I started using lightweight cookware that’s ergonomically designed, and it’s made a huge difference for me in meal prep, especially with lifting those heavy pots. Sometimes, I wonder if investing in a good set could be pricey, but it’s worth it for the ease it brings. Have you tried any specific brands or styles, @sandra_m84?
