Finding Transferable Skills After Service

And it’s often a challenge to pinpoint what skills we bring to civilian roles. I remember sitting down about six months into my transition and realizing how much my leadership experience from the military could translate into project management. Has anyone else found effective ways to identify and articulate their transferable skills during their job search?

I once worked on a case where the lack of follow-up notes in the medical records made it feel like a mystery novel with missing chapters.

It’s so true that much can hinge on a couple of lines. In my experience, even a simple follow-up note can make a significant difference. I’ve seen cases turn around just because we were able to demonstrate continuity of care, so I’d encourage everyone to advocate for thorough documentation at every step.
