Go-to tools for tracking VA claims

Quick example: I have veterans use VA.gov claim status in the VA: Health and Benefits app with push alerts, pair it with a 21-526EZ checklist, and use the phone’s scanner to keep evidence PDFs under 10 MB. If a tool or workflow cut your wait time or headed off a C&P exam surprise, I want to hear it. I’m collecting what works so I can steer folks through evidence gathering to submission and flag issues early when I advocate on stalled files.

We piloted this last winter; triads ran smoother when we did a 60-second “SBAR + color” handoff in a secure chat (e.g., “S: stroke alert; B: ASL-first; A: family anxious; R: teach-back needed; status: yellow”) and a 2-minute overlap call between HI shifts — think passing the baton, not the whole relay. Small caveat: set a rubric so low-acuity discharges stay VRI after-hours unless a cultural mediation trigger pops, or you’ll burn folks out.
