You ever notice how military court is just like a comedy club, except the punchlines come with a side of UCMJ? I once saw a guy try to argue that his late-night shenanigans were ‘team-building exercises.’ The judge wasn’t buying it, but I sure got a good laugh out of it. What are some of your best ‘courtroom humor’ stories from your time in service?
courtroom antics always crack me up! I remember one guy tried to pass off his whole ‘team-building’ excuse during a zero-tolerance policy hearing — totally didn’t fly. But hey, sometimes you just have to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
You gotta love the creativity that comes out during those hearings. I remember one guy tried to use the ‘it’s just part of my PTSD treatment’ excuse after setting off a fire extinguisher in the barracks — needless to say, the judge wasn’t having it. Got a good laugh out of it later, though.
